LinguaX for Mac

Smooth scrolling, button & gesture mapping, push-to-talk, and input-source automation

LinguaX is a native macOS utility that makes any third-party mouse feel like it was made for a Mac. It fixes the three things Mac users complain about most: choppy wheel scrolling, side buttons that do nothing, and vendor software that requires a heavy driver and an online account.

Key features

• Tunable smooth scrolling — turn notch-by-notch wheel steps into a trackpad-like glide, with per-app on/off control

• Button and gesture mapping — bind side buttons, thumb button, and wheel tilt to Back/Forward, Mission Control, media keys, or any keyboard shortcut

• Push-to-talk voice input — hold a mouse button to dictate with macOS Dictation, Wispr Flow, or superwhisper

• Automatic input-source switching — the right keyboard layout per app and per website, no more fixing your typing mid-sentence

• Per-app and per-device profiles — each mouse and each app keeps its own behavior, applied automatically

• Native and private — small AppKit app (not Electron), no account, zero telemetry, all rules stay on your Mac

How it works

Install LinguaX, grant Accessibility access, and open Mouse+. Pick a button, choose a gesture (click, double-click, long-press, or directional swipe), and assign an action. Mappings apply instantly and recover automatically after sleep or Bluetooth reconnects. Recognized models — including Logitech MX Master, MX Anywhere, G502 X, and M720 — come with sensible defaults out of the box.

What's new in this version

• Improved compatibility with the latest macOS releases

• Expanded Logitech model recognition, including MX Master 4 and G-series gaming mice

• Stability fixes for input monitoring and wake-from-sleep recovery

System requirements and limitations

• Requires macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel)

• Works with any USB or Bluetooth mouse, any brand

• Free 30-day trial with all features unlocked

• After the trial: one-time Lifetime purchase — no subscription, no recurring fees
